Chapter 52: Winds rising inside the house
In the evening, Li Wei Yang was about to tell her servants to prepare her bath when she heard cries in her yard, she frowned and asked: “What is with the noise outside?”

This father is really stubborn and stupid... Dude she is your daughter in the end. Give her a chance and cautiously support her at the very least. She already showed that she is intelligent. She must have gotten something from her genes. How the hell did he become the prime Minister ? Or was he brilliant before and now his high position has curropted him? If he cannot see a flaw in the plan , how the f did he become such a high official ? I worry for the future of this country.

DeleteYes, she is smart. However, as Wei Yang said herself. She didn't grow up by Li Xiao Ran's side, so his attachment to Wei Yang is nonexistent. His intelligence and cunning if anything give him more alarm, especially since this shu daughter obviously not will to submit to his official children.
I don't like Li Xiao Ran, but I can see 'why' he behave the way he did.
As for the plan... it's not because he is stupid, really... Take note that Wei Yang's plan is something never done before, and in theory it can work. Like how you design an awesome aircraft, but on test flight it got zapped by thunder or something.
A plan no matter how perfect when it put to practice, there would be unknown factor on the works. I reread Wei Yang's five steps, and I 'assume' it's the standard mess when government come up with project with lot of fund.
Corruption-swindling money~
This plan works with assumption no one would sneak a bite, and as you can see how Wei Yang have to spare expense to tip servants around the fu, corruption is part of their culture.
But OF COURSE, the emperor and Li Xiao Ran are optimistic with this genius plan and not factoring in their subordinates would dare to betray them like that.

I'm guessing the 5-step plan was tested out during Weiyang's first lifetime already and failed, so she let those shameless cunts stole it. It's just kinda awkward to see how they're so overjoyed knowing they stole someone else's credit. The thick skin of these people baffles me @_@
