Lol no. I thought he was just blinded by his infatuation with Li Chang Le and thought she's all good in this world. So when she was stealing WY's credit and acting all arrogant, I kinda expect him to be disillusioned from her beauty. Really didn't think he would just turn a blind eye...
DeleteI don't think TBZ's infatuation with LCL was exactly about her being too good for the world. In the first chapter when WY was being deposed, she gives a speech about all the things she did for TBZ, including shielding him from assassination with her own body several times over. TBZ is someone who ignores blood debts and doesn't value honor, so he has no reason to stand up for someone who has no value to him.
DeleteThat said, don't forget, TBZ is friends with Li Min Feng, LCL's elder brother. That was originally his in with the Li family, and he's primarily here to play politics and win the throne. Even if he wasn't honorless, picking his friend's sister over an unknown figure isn't totally unreasonable.
BTW, can anyone recommend me other c-novels with revenge/reborn plot?
ReplyDeleteSo far I've read 3 - Wei Yang, Mei Gongqing, and 盛世王妃. All are great.
Mei Gongqing is not a revenge plot though, the heroine just wants to live a happy, peaceful life coz she loved someone who didn't love her back in her first life.
But Weiyang and 盛世王妃 are strikingly similar. But I still feel that Weiyang is a bit more realistic and more political, which I like xD
I highly recommend The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage. It has the same feel as Wei Yang, but bonus to the MC for having both her parents and an older brother still alive as well as a male lead (that eventually becomes her male lead) who's just as cunning/smart as her!
