*The title is referring to Zi Yan, who betrays LWY in hopes of winning Da Furen’s favor, so she may have a chance with Li Min Feng. The literal translation is: Sell Master, Hope Glory.
Chapter 42: Sell Someone Out In Hopes of Winning Favor
Once everyone had heard, they were shocked and horrified. Da Furen was the first person to react: “Suzi? This is clearly the red ginseng Lao Furen often uses! Chang Le, you are only a child, do not speak without thinking!”

ReplyDeleteI don't even bother reading through some of these schemes. I would rather that the author makes the FL smart enough to avoid them but then I guess they wouldn't have as many words to write in this story.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little annoying how the bad guys so conveniently do something just bad enough that our main character can punish them to her heart's content without us disliking her.
ReplyDeleteThe maid has zero reason at this moment to sell her out. She's already been accepted by the boy she has been vying for, and that was largely due to her current mistress. But to prevent the main character's retaliation looking petty or too much, suddenly the maid does something like this.
Kind of like how Da Furen and the eldest sister, who never killed people in the first life, are suddenly running around, being ridiculous and trying to rape and murder preteens.
