The Goods and Bads of This Week's Fashion

July 27, 2016

Let's look into this week's fashion statement:

The Goods:

1. Cecilia Liu
Cecilia attended a Rebecca event, handsomely sporting a Vivetta white blouse paired with Givhshyh bell bottom pants.

2. Yang Mi
Yang Mi was spotted at the airport wearing a Saint Laurent striped cardigan paired with a simple white t-shirt and a mini brown skirt, with a cap and sunglasses on. The casual outfit was casual enough to be stylish and greatly defines her long legs.

3. Fan Bing Bing
Fan Bing Bing wore a Ralph and Russo 2016 Fall collection silver-white long gown, emitting a mermaid vibe. Her youthful hair-do and on point makeup contribute to the style success.

4. Angela Chang
Singer Angela Chang wore a transparent white ruffled top paired with a long black ruffled skirt to an event, making her look sophisticated yet youthful at the same time.

5. Rainie Yang
Taiwanese actress Rainie Yang sported a silver tassled top with grey wide-legged pants to celebrity couple Michelle Chen and Chen Xiao's wedding, The outfit made her look vivacious with a tint of sexiness.

Now onto the Bads of this week's fashion ---

The Bads:

1. Nana Xie
Happy Camp host Nana Xie wore a Luisa Beccaria 2016 Fall-Winter collection metallic blue sparkling gown to the premiere of new movie Star Trek Beyond with husband Jason Zhang and long-time Happy Camp partner Li Weijia. The hairdo and the color of the gown makes her look older than she looks - she should fire her stylist.

My comment: In some angles, she looks more like Hong Kong celebrity Sandra Ng --- now the gown makes her look more like her.

2. Dee Hsu

a close-up to her face

Dee Hsu wore a Mabille 2016 Spring-Summer collection red-black long gown and attempted to start a new trend with freckled makeup. Aside for her makeup, the gown makes her look like a dancer at a nightclub.

My comment: This reminds me of the makeup Fan Bing Bing had in The Empress of China. But that's in a TV series not in real life. I don't think it works well in real life with modern clothing.

3. Fan Bing Bing

Fan Bing Bing wore a DG 2016 Winter-Fall collection floral long gown to an event.

My comment: She appeared on both lists so her fashion is either a hit or a miss. The dress fits her nicely but the style itself is horrible.

4. Ruby Lin
Ruby Lin wore a Mary Katrantzou 2016 Spring-Summer collection one-piece dress to the promotional event of Singing All Along.

My comment: The pattern is interesting but it makes her look old. She fits into the dress flawlessly and would have been perfect if it wasn't for the patterns. Her glowing complexion (probably because of her upcoming wedding) can't save this fashion flaw.

5. Gillian Chung

Gillian Chung wore a blue off-shoulder dress and paired it with black leggings underneath even in blazing hot weather to appear slimmer to attend an event with Charlene Choi.

My comment: If dress was shorter, it might have worked out. But still she would have to lose the black leggings. Anyways, dress is too long that it looks like a table cloth, giving no definition to her body.
